This lounges chain is managed by the charity organization called USO. The lounges are intended for members of the Armed Forces on active duty, as well as those in the reserves and the National Guard.
USO Lounge Terminal 2 ORD is operated by a non-profit organization and volunteers. So, it’s not the luxurious space and sometimes it is closed. Still, it’s a great idea to support military servants and their families.
USO Lounge Terminal 2 ORD Design and Amenities
The USO lounge’s design is functional but cozy. It is decorated in blue and light brown colors. The main conception of USO is to let military servants feel home, when they are on their trips. So, the lounge has everything necessary for that: comfortable seats to work or sleep, the dining area with snacks and beverages. The clean restrooms offer an opportunity to refresh during the trip.
As the USO O’Hare lounge is also supposed for family members of military servants, there are zones for them, too. Kids will spend a great time at the Children’s play area, while adults can enjoy watching movies on the big TV screen, available in the lounge. There are also 3 computers, which are allowed to use. To entertain while waiting, the visitors can play board games or read books. They can be found in the lounge’s library.
USO Lounge Terminal 2 ORD Peculiarities
The main peculiarity of this lounge is that it is supposed for military servants (on duty or in the reserves) and their families. That means, nobody else is allowed to access it. At the same time, there are additional amenities for military men here. Everything – food, drinks, Wi-Fi connection etc – is free for them. There’s a rest quiet room to take a sleep. Volunteers can help military men with their transportation problems, babysit their kids for a while etc.

This lounge is similar with that one in the Terminal 2. It’s operated by the charity organization, that’s why there’s no paid access here. The lounge is supposed for active and retired militaries.
The USO Lounge Terminal 3 ORD is quite small, that’s why it may be overcrowded during the peaks. Nevertheless, the lounge is silent as many military servants are resting between their flights. The staff is formed from volunteers of USO. The staff puts lots of effort to help military men and their family members. For the country defendants there are free drinks and premium food, fast Wi-Fi connection and comfy seats.
The restrooms are cozy. Here the military person can refresh and feel energized again. There are showers, which is quite a rare thing for lunges at O’Hare Airport.
